Lina Allemano is a Canadian trumpeter, improviser, prolific composer, and bandleader.

Her Downbeat-approved “Rising Star” group, is an adventurous acoustic chamber-jazz quartet that plays Allemano’s original music.

Written with a mandate of strong group interaction, improvisation, and sonic exploration, the band are known internationally for their inventiveness, playfulness, and telepathic-like synergy as they deftly blur the line between composition and improvisation.

Lina is accompanied by Brodie West (alto sax), Andrew Downing (double bass), and Nick Fraser (drums).
