Roamer is an exciting project that brings together four of Ireland’s most internationally renowned improvising musicians; Lauren Kinsella (vocals), Matthew Halpin (saxophone), Simon Jermyn (guitar), and Matthew Jacobson (drummer).

Currently based in London, Cologne, Berlin and Dublin, the four musicians reunite regularly to compose and perform original music celebrating poetry and improvisation.

Their 2022 release ‘Lost Bees’ (Diatribe) features original compositions from all members of the group, utilising and inspired by the poetry of London-based Irish literary artist Cherry Smyth. The highly collaborative nature of this project is further enhanced with post-production on ‘Haiku’ from Swedish bassist, composer and producer Petter Eldh.

We are delighted to bring together the band for a rare live performance.

“A profoundly original sound…  full of meaning and mystery, unafraid of risk, at times unsettling, a joyous challenge to musical orthodoxy” –  The Irish Times
